Privacy policy

This page also explains how to delete your data.

What we collect

  • Your account: the phone number or email you sign in with, your name if you add one, your saved jobs and your alerts. Sign-in codes are sent by SMS through X Technologies, our SMS provider in South Sudan, or by email.
  • Job alerts: your email address, phone number or Telegram chat ID and the keywords you choose, so we can send you matching listings.
  • Employers: the organisation’s name, website and the work email used to verify it.
  • Shared adverts: the advert text and link you submit, and the name or phone number you give, if you give one. Only moderators see your contact details.
  • CV matching: your CV is read once to find matching jobs and is not stored or shared. A voice CV is sent to our speech-to-text service to be written down, and the recording isn’t kept.
  • CVs and applications: if you keep a CV on your account or apply through JubaJobs, we store the CV and the contact details you give. Only the employer you apply to sees an application, and it’s deleted 90 days after the closing date. You can delete your saved CV, or withdraw an application, at any time.
  • Weekly email: your email address and language. Nothing is sent until you confirm, and every email has a link to stop it.
  • WhatsApp: if you message our WhatsApp number or choose WhatsApp alerts, your number and the words you search for. Messages pass through WhatsApp, run by Meta.
  • Application tracker and interview practice: the applications and notes you add, kept on your account until you remove them. Practice answers are sent to our AI service for feedback and aren’t stored.
  • Statistics: how many times each listing is viewed and which words are searched, as daily totals only. We can’t tell who viewed or searched what.
  • CV builder: your draft is kept in your browser on this device. If you use the AI helper, what you type or say is sent to our AI service to write the CV, and isn’t stored. If you save the CV to your account, it’s kept there like an uploaded CV.
  • Reports about adverts: the reason and any note you add. To count one report per person, we keep a scrambled code made from your account or internet address, never the address itself.
  • Tender Pro payments: the payment reference and the phone number you paid from, to confirm the payment. We never see or store card or mobile-money PINs.
  • Listings: public job and tender adverts gathered from organisations’ websites, public feeds and public social media posts.
  • Our own social accounts: when we connect JubaJobs’ Facebook Page, LinkedIn or X account, we store the access token those services give us so we can publish listings there. We don’t read or store anything else from those accounts, and we don’t collect data about people who see our posts.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data, show you ads based on it, or share it with employers. We use no tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Alert details are kept until you unsubscribe. Every alert has a link to stop it. Listings are hidden once their deadline passes.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account, with its saved jobs, alerts, CV and applications, at any time from your account page. To delete anything else you submitted, email info@jubajobs.com from the address you used, or tell us your Telegram username. We delete it within 30 days and confirm when it’s done. Organisations can ask us the same way to remove one of their adverts.
